Gareth Howarth

Insolvency Practitioner

Gareth began his insolvency career in 2007, covering Yorkshire and the North of England. With a detailed knowledge of all forms of Corporate & Personal Insolvency, Gareth has particular experience in dealing with businesses within the manufacturing, marketing, retail and sports sector.

Gareth has a strong network of professionals who rely on his advice. Gareth is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and is also a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).

Outside of work Gareth is an avid Bolton Wanderers supporter and a keen golfer.

Keith Tully

Director

Keith has worked in the business recovery sector since 1992 and has gained particular experience in liquidation and administration procedures.  

He regularly acts for financial institutions and other business professionals in the United Kingdom. After working for PwC in Leeds, Keith established his own insolvency firm "Cooper Williamson" in 2010 and later sold it to Begbies Traynor plc in 2013.

He is a huge Manchester United fan who attends every game possible, he loves the Caribbean, Jamaica in particular, and is a keen Crown Green Bowler.

Phil Clark

Director

Phil is a Director of Path Business Recovery and a corporate Insolvency specialist advising and assisting directors of companies in distress.

Phil has been in insolvency for over 15 years, setting up his own practice in 2009 and working as a consultant to Begbies Traynor Group, the largest independent corporate insolvency and restructuring firm in the UK.

Offering a no nonsense approach, always with the aim of under promising and over delivering. He can advise on a full range of formal and informal insolvency/business turnaround procedures, working closely with stakeholders and third party advisers throughout the process to help make sure any executed plans go as smooth as possible.

Philip Lawrence

Senior Manager

Phil has worked in Corporate Recovery since 2007 and has spent the majority of his career advising SME’s in London and the surrounding areas. He gained his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency qualification in 2010 and is currently studying to become a licenced Insolvency Practitioner.

Returning to the North West in 2015, Philip has quickly developed strong relationships with Insolvency professionals and has experience of dealing with a wide spectrum of Insolvency procedures.

Philip enjoys watching all sports, participating in Golf, Football and Badminton and has completed the London Marathon in a particularly uninspiring time; though he wishes it to go on record that he was dressed as banana.

Howard Spencer

Business Development Manager

Howard is a Business Development Manager at Path Business Recovery. He works closely with other professionals to support SME’s looking to understand their options when they are experiencing financial or operational difficulties.

Howard has extensive knowledge and expertise in restructuring, insolvency and refinancing and uses his experience to develop practical and workable solutions
owner-managers to support the directors and owner-managers in the SME marketplace across a range of sectors. 

Having attained a degree in Criminology, Howard has spent the majority of his career within financial services, with most of that time spent in the restructuring and insolvency market. 

Outside of work Howard often attends his local parkrun and plays hockey. He also is a lifelong aviation enthusiast and has flying lessons as regularly as possible.

Georgia Tully

Case Administrator

Georgia is an Insolvency Case Administrator at Path. She studied English Literature, Politics and Law at A-Level and went on to study Politics at York University.

Insolvency and business recovery has been a huge part of Georgia’s upbringing, and she has always had the ambition of following in her father’s footsteps when it comes to the profession.  

She represented the Wirral at Swimming, loves socialising and is a huge dog lover.

Georgia would even go as far as stating that Ernie her Cockapoo is her favourite family member!

Sahil Nadeem

Insolvency Case Administrator

Sahil started working in insolvency at the start of 2023 and is going to start studying for his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency qualification at the start of 2024. Sahil currently deals with MVLs, CVLs, Bankruptcy, and Administrations and completes all processes from cradle to grave. He aims to climb the insolvency ladder and one day become a qualified insolvency practitioner.  

Sahil enjoys all sports but mainly loves football ( he’s a big Manchester United Fan) and UFC. He currently does Brazilian jiu jitsu as a hobby and has achieved blue belt which he is very proud of.

Sahil is also a big foodie and runs a TikTok account showing the best halal food spots in and around the North West @Sahileats.

George Blake

Case Administrator

With extensive experience in corporate and personal insolvency, George is recognised for adeptly navigating complex financial scenarios. From excelling in successful corporate insolvency proceedings, their commitment to ethical practices and effective stakeholder communication is unwavering. George extends their expertise to personal insolvency, showcasing strategic problem-solving for individuals. Their ability to thrive under pressure and dedication to continuous development is present throughout all cases. He is currently pursuing his CPI qualification.  

In his free time, George enjoys reading on a vast number of topics while also being an avid swimmer and rugby player.  His interests also include attending classical music performances and spending time with his various pets.”

Daniel McNamee

Insolvency Administrator

Dan is an Insolvency Case Administrator and has worked in insolvency for over 2 years after graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in History. He has handled a variety of cases from engagement to closure, and is experienced in dealing with CVLs and MVLs, having also worked on a variety of ADMs, WUC, and BKY’s.  

He is currently pursuing his CPI qualification achieving his Level 3 AAT, then looking to progress to his Level 4 AAT in the future. 

Outside of work, Dan likes to follow a variety of sports teams, watching Wigan Athletic and St Helens R.F.C home and away, and enjoys coarse fishing.
